Hartless Shield Results
Christchurch and Southampton District held their 20th Hartless Shield annual striking competition at All Saints, Minstead, on Saturday 15th March (2008). This is a simple call-change competition (on 5 bells in this instance) held to encourage new ringers to compete in striking events. This year 9 bands from 8 different towers took part, with the Shield being won by Milford ‘A‘, Milford ‘B’ taking 2nd place, and Hordle coming 3rd. The judge was Tom Hinks from Exeter University (and Romsey).
